MOTHERS AND CHILDREN TO RECEIVE $2082 ANNUALLY UNDER AKPALOO

The founder of Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo has made a pledge that every Ghanaian child will receive a monthly allowance 200ghc should he emerge tops in the 2020 Presidential elections.

Mr. Akpaloo, an entrepreneur and a chartered accountant is married with 3 boys and 3 girls having previously resided in Ireland. He entered into the political scene in 2004 but organized his own political party in 2013.


In a dialogue with the Time FM Morning Show host, Simon Kwadwo Antwi, the LPG Presidential candidate also emphasized on creating jobs and grand retirement packages for workers. 

He further revealed that as part of his yet to be launched manifesto, every Ghanaian child will receive 200ghc with mothers receiving 800ghc on monthly basis.

He also added that he had planned a 10 billion dollar job fund allocation. Loans for university graduates who wish to start a business and free internet access for all students was additionally whispered to the public.

VIDEO: SUSPECTED ARSON AS MINING DIRECTOR'S VEHICLE FOUND IN FLAMES

In the early hours of Monday, 24th August, 2020, a rather malevolent act occurred at the residence of the Director of Westchester  Mining Resource Company in the Amansie Central district.

According to Mr. Emmanuel Nuetey who spoke on Time FM's Morning Show, the unknown mugger(s) set Mr. Frederick Asiedu's car on fire around 2am. Mr. Asiedu happens to be the director of the mining resource company based in Fenaso-Nkwanta.

 "The person(s) put a the leaking container of petrol on the car. It dripped to the engine of the car before setting up the fire with a match which he threw at the gallon. Mr. William (director) heard the sudden blast and came out to see what had happened. The car is condemned now."


Confirming reports gathered by the Morning Show desk, Mr. Neutey admitted to a rift between Westchester and other local mining companies and individuals. However, he downplayed their association to the suspected arson.

Westchester has been taking prudent measures to prevent any form of  encroachment on their concession though 25% of it has been taken by local alluvial miners.

COLLINS OWUSU AMANKWAH VOWS TO BOUNCE BACK IN 2024

Member of the the seventh parliament of the fourth Republic of Ghana, Honorable Collins Owusu Amankwah in an exclusive interview with Simon Kwadwo Antwi on Time FM's Morning Show stated his desire to contest Mr. Akwasi Konadu in 2024.

"I went there (Parliament) at a tender age of 32. I remember after the primaries during my silence,  I was quizzed if I would contest again, why not I'm a young man was my response."

"I'm too young to be disgraced in this game. He (Akwasi Konadu) knows that I'll win if I recontest him."

Mr. Owusu Amankwah who is celebrating his 40 years anniversary lost the 2020 NPP primaries having contested on the party's ticket since 2012. His stay in parliament ends in 2021 when the new parliament is reconstituted. 

In the hearty interview,  the Member of Parliament also took the opportunity to share some words on his future after the 2020 general elections.  

"I will focus on school, which is still an option. I also have my business and the party as well. Only God knows tomorrow but on my path, I think God has blessed me."

Mr. Collins Owusu Amankwah doubles as the Chairperson on the Government Assurance Committee and Vice Chairperson of the Defence and Interior Committee.
