VIDEO: SUSPECTED ARSON AS MINING DIRECTOR'S VEHICLE FOUND IN FLAMES

In the early hours of Monday, 24th August, 2020, a rather malevolent act occurred at the residence of the Director of Westchester  Mining Resource Company in the Amansie Central district.

According to Mr. Emmanuel Nuetey who spoke on Time FM's Morning Show, the unknown mugger(s) set Mr. Frederick Asiedu's car on fire around 2am. Mr. Asiedu happens to be the director of the mining resource company based in Fenaso-Nkwanta.

Mr. William's Car
"The person(s) put a the leaking container of petrol on the car. It dripped to the engine of the car before setting up the fire with a match which he threw at the gallon. Mr. William (director) heard the sudden blast and came out to see what had happened. The car is condemned now."

Confirming reports gathered by the Morning Show desk, Mr. Neutey admitted to a rift between Westchester and other local mining companies and individuals. However, he downplayed their association to the suspected arson.

Westchester has been taking prudent measures to prevent any form of  encroachment on their concession though 25% of it has been taken by local alluvial miners.
